Our certified wound nurses will visit you at least 3 times in a week to perform wound assessment, administer treatment, review your records and make recommendations to your physician and also conduct education at the end of each visit.
A wound is any break in the skin or deep tissue. Usually, the skin heals quickly on its own. However, there are many times where wounds need special care to heal or to prevent infection.
Types of Wound Care Management
- Chronic wound Care management: Chronic wounds are wounds that don’t heal easily.
- Surgical Wounds: A surgical wound is a cut or incision in the skin that is usually made by a scalpel during an operation or a surgical procedure.
- Diabetic wound management: A diabetic foot ulcer is a wound that occurs in approximately 15 percent of patients with diabetes. These wounds are commonly located on the bottom of the foot.
- Arterial and Venous wounds: these wounds occur as a result of Injury to the feet or legs from poor circulation. Venous ulcers are very common and affect approximately 1 % of the U.S. population
